A Special Send-Off for Ella (and Welcome Back to Ivy!)

Recently, the Blick team came together for one of our regular in-person catch-ups, kindly hosted by Natalie. While we enjoyed a productive staff meeting, the afternoon was really about celebrating an exciting milestone for one of our own.
Our talented graphic designer and developer, Ella, is about to begin maternity leave as she prepares to welcome a new addition to the family. Between plenty of laughs, we chatted about the exciting (and no doubt hectic!) adventure ahead with toddler Mila stepping into her new role as big sister.
Natalie had organised a wonderful surprise, hiding Ella’s gifts inside balloons for her to pop, which made for plenty of smiles (and a few loud bangs!). We then enjoyed one of Natalie’s famous feasts, complete with an incredible spread of delicious food and desserts.
While we’ll certainly miss Ella’s creativity, attention to detail, and ability to bring ideas to life through beautiful design and web development, we’re excited for this next chapter for her family.
Stepping into the role while Ella is away is a very familiar face. Ivy was a valued member of the Blick team for many years, including a period as our Studio Manager, and has continued to collaborate with us on projects over the years. With her extensive design experience, deep understanding of the Blick way of working, and creative eye, Ivy is the perfect person to ensure a seamless transition.
We wish Ella, her husband Dan, little Mila, and the newest member of their family all the very best for the exciting months ahead. We also extend a very warm welcome back to Ivy—we’re thrilled to have her back as part of the Blick team.
