Important Update: Strengthening Website Security & Maintenance

At Blick Creative, we’re always focused on keeping our clients’ websites secure, stable, and performing at their best.
From 1 July 2026, we’ll be transitioning all existing hosting-only plans (or plans with once-a-year maintenance) to our combined hosting and maintenance packages.
This change reflects how much the digital landscape has evolved. Websites that are only updated once a year can quickly fall behind on plugin updates and security patches, increasing the risk of vulnerabilities. At the same time, cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated and more frequent — including AI-driven attacks and automated bots.
Importantly, for the majority of Blick clients who are already on quarterly or monthly maintenance plans, there will be no changes.
For websites currently on hosting-only or annual maintenance plans, this transition will include an increase in cost. This reflects the additional time and care involved — with the Blick team dedicating approximately 3–6 hours each quarter to reviewing, updating, and thoroughly testing your website to ensure everything is running smoothly and securely.
Our updated approach ensures every website we host benefits from:
• A minimum of quarterly (every 3 months) maintenance
• Weekly vulnerability monitoring
• Ongoing updates and proactive security measures
• Reduced risk of downtime and security issues
For larger or more complex websites — particularly those handling sensitive data — more frequent maintenance (such as monthly updates) may be recommended.
