Inclusion Australia : Creating Accessible Tools for the SAFE Project
15 May 2026
Creating communication materials for the SAFE (Self Advocacy For Everyone) project was a unique opportunity to design practical resources that could genuinely support people with disability to feel informed, confident and connected.
Working with Inclusion Australia and project partners, Blick Creative was engaged to create a range of branded resources designed to support communication and engagement within the SAFE project. Importantly, these resources needed to be more than visually appealing — they needed to be accessible, easy to understand and practical for everyday use.
Our work focused specifically on designing:
• A branded pull-up banner for events and community engagement
• A custom fridge magnet designed to provide clear and accessible access to support contact details
• Accessible Microsoft Word templates that allow future documents to maintain consistency, readability and ease of use
Throughout the project, accessibility remained central to every design decision. The resources were created using Easy Read and Plain English principles where appropriate, ensuring information remained clear, simple and easy to navigate. Visual hierarchy, colour choices, imagery and layout were carefully considered to support readability and accessibility.
The result is a suite of communication tools that are not only practical and visually consistent but designed to support inclusion, confidence and stronger communication outcomes for the communities SAFE exists to support.
