Australia Day

26 January 2023

There is no denying that Australians have marked January 26th as a day divided – Some celebrate the day, whilst others (Specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) dismiss it as Survival Day or Invasion Day.

While it was a day off for some to reflect and celebrate, many others scheduled a different and more appropriate date instead.

This years national day came to what most people said was a respectful close, with stunning projections lighting up the Sydney Opera House created by proud Kamilaroi woman Rhonda Sampson.
