Blick recently collaborated with Siblings Australia to enhance their website by introducing a dedicated SibPlan resources section. SibPlan stands as a complimentary planning and support tool specifically designed for siblings of individuals with disabilities, as well as for service providers working within the disability sector across Australia. This innovative resource section addresses a wide array of topics, including understanding disabilities, navigating funding and support options like NDIS and My Aged Care, promoting health and wellbeing, and exploring social, recreational, and employment opportunities. It also delves into crucial areas such as home and living arrangements, guardianship, administration, estate, and financial planning.
Targeted towards adult siblings of people with disabilities or chronic illnesses, SibPlan offers practical tools, resources, and guidance to support them through various stages of their sibling journey. A key requirement for this project was to ensure the new section blended seamlessly with the existing website while adhering to AA accessibility standards. This was to guarantee ease of navigation, allowing users to effortlessly find the information most relevant to their needs. The addition of the SibPlan section is a significant enhancement for Siblings Australia, providing a valuable and accessible resource for its community.
