Welcoming our new neighbours, KIN Fashion

KIN Fashion has taken up residency in the newly renovated creative studio at 12-16 Peel Street, right here in Collingwood. KIN is a First Nations Fashion Accelerator Project, supported by Kinaway the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce for Victoria. KIN is home to a fashion and textiles design studio with high digital capacity and will support artists and designers to engage with local manufacturing networks and digital marketing tools to enter the global market. KIN Fashion’s occupancy contributes to the precinct’s growing status as an Aboriginal arts and cultural hub. A mural by Ky-ya Nicholson-Ward already adorns the external walls of KIN’s space, and in Peel Street Park a changing projection art program focussing on works by Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists operates nightly.
