Empowering Clients Through Website Training

At Blick Creative, launching a website isn’t the final step — it’s just the beginning. A key part of every project is making sure our clients feel confident and capable managing their website moving forward.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve delivered training sessions for three newly launched websites:

Cardiomyopathy Australia and New Zealand

Rainbow United

Activ8 (Unfortunately you need to log in to see it)

Each session was tailored to the specific website and the people using it, with group sizes ranging from 1 to 6 participants. Our training is always led by the team member most involved in the build (In these cases Karl and Melissa), ensuring practical, hands-on guidance grounded in real knowledge of the site.

Sessions typically cover the essentials — an introduction to WordPress, navigating the dashboard, using the media library, editing pages, and managing posts or resources. We also allow plenty of time for questions, which often leads to valuable discussions and real-world scenarios.

Importantly, all training sessions are recorded, so clients can revisit them at any time or share them with new team members. We also provide simple cheat sheet on occasion where helpful.

What’s especially rewarding is seeing clients step into the driver’s seat, confidently updating content, adding pages, and keeping their website current.

Many of these recent sessions were for websites built to WCAG AA accessibility standards, meaning training included people with lived experience of intellectual disability, alongside users with a wide range of needs and preferences. Our sessions are always inclusive, flexible, and accommodating to ensure everyone feels supported.

The feedback has been fantastic — smooth sessions, great engagement, and plenty of laughs along the way (Our CMAZ client loved Karl’s Avacado love heart error message when it popped up.).
