Blick Creative Celebrates 20 Years of Purpose-Driven Design
24 October 2025
This October marks a major milestone for Blick Creative — 20 years in business. What an incredible journey it’s been. Time truly flies! When we started in 2005, we could never have imagined the depth of partnerships, impact, and creativity that would define the next two decades.
Built on People and Purpose
Our longevity and success come down to two key things: our clients and our team. From day one, Blick has been powered by passionate and talented designers, developers, and account managers who care deeply about the work we do — and the people we do it for.
We’ve weathered many challenges along the way — the Global Financial Crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, rising costs, and labour shortages. Through it all, our clients have stood by us — some for the entire 20 years — and we’ve built long-term relationships based on trust, creativity, and collaboration.

Design with Impact — Locally and Globally
Over the years, Blick has delivered hundreds of projects that make a positive difference to people, communities, and the planet. From local initiatives to global partnerships, our work has consistently aligned with our values of accessibility, inclusion, and social impact.
Some highlights include:
- Collaborations with World Health Organization and UNICEF on global health and sanitation initiatives.
- Accessible health communication and websites for Monash Health, including the award-winning My Lived iD project — recognised with the 2024 Victorian Disability Award for Leadership in Co-design.
- AAA accessible websites for Deafblind Australia, and disability organisations through SARU (New Wave Gippsland, Pride United).
- Projects celebrating diversity and inclusion — from LGBTQIA+ community platforms to culturally responsive websites for Arabic Welfare, Islamophobia Australia, Karlup Wheels in Motion, and the Victorian Refugee Health Network.
- Branding and websites for major health and medical organisations, including Goulburn Valley Health, Bendigo Community Health Services, Brave Foundation, Merri Health, Rethink Dyslexia, and the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Journal.
- Government and council projects such as the Fair Work Ombudsman, Koori Kids Shine, and multiple city councils including Yarra, Whitehorse, Whittlesea, Wyndham, and Glenelg — as well as Victorian Government guides and education initiatives.
- Longstanding work in education and early learning with It Takes a Village, Deakin University, Monash University, La Trobe University, and The University of Melbourne.
- Partnerships with leading not-for-profits including Anglicare, Plan Australia, WaterAid, Berry Street, You Matter, Carers Victoria, Self Manager Hub, ABC Friends, Uniting, Women’s Health in the North, InTouch, and Australian Men’s Health Forum.
And that’s just the beginning — there are simply too many incredible clients to name.
Leaders in Co-Design and Inclusive Collaboration
Blick is proud to be recognised as a leader in Co-Design, a methodology that places lived experience and collaboration at the heart of every project.
We’ve facilitated co-design processes with diverse communities, government bodies, and service organisations to ensure authentic, inclusive, and meaningful outcomes. Our Co-Design projects include work with Merri Health, Candella, City of Whittlesea, Whitehorse Manningham Libraries, Monash Health, Bendigo Community Health Services, Northern Schools Early Learning, and Deafblind Australia, as well as Rainbow United — a ground-breaking initiative uniting LGBTQIA+ communities and people with disability.
Through these partnerships, we’ve helped transform how services are designed, ensuring they reflect real voices, needs, and experiences. For Blick, Co-Design isn’t just a process — it’s a principle that shapes how we create for impact.
A Diverse Network of Creative Talent
Beyond our in-house expertise, Blick thrives through the diversity of our creative partners. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with a talented network of animators, photographers, videographers, copywriters, and printers — enabling us to deliver projects that are not only beautiful but also complete, cohesive, and impactful.
By drawing on these trusted specialists, we’ve been able to produce everything from full-scale animation campaigns and video storytelling, to photographic libraries, brand-aligned copywriting, and award-winning print materials. This collaborative model ensures every project benefits from the best creative minds across multiple disciplines.
Educating and Empowering Others
Blick has always believed in giving back to the creative and business community. Over the years, we’ve run countless free seminars, workshops, and educational sessions for clients, councils, member organisations, and industry peers.
These sessions have covered topics such as marketing, branding, and website design, and were often led by individual team members or the entire Blick team. Each session aimed to share knowledge, empower others, and build confidence in how organisations can use design and communication to grow and make meaningful impact.
For us, education has always been a cornerstone of connection — strengthening relationships, supporting local communities, and helping others to thrive creatively.
Recognised for Excellence
Blick has been honoured with multiple awards over the years, including:
- PICA Awards for excellence in print design, including Western Bulldogs Snow Ball collateral and branding.
- City of Yarra Environmental Awards for sustainable business practices and our team’s community tree-planting days.
- Best Government Website Award for the Achievement Network project.
- 2024 Victorian Disability Award for Leadership in Co-design (with Monash Health) for My Lived iD.
A Culture of Collaboration and Care
While our client list is impressive, our proudest achievement is our people. Blick’s small but mighty team is made up of long-term members — many of whom have been with us between 5 and 15 years. Over time, we’ve also seen former team members go on to do amazing things across the creative industry, something we celebrate wholeheartedly.
We work hard, but we also make time to connect, laugh, and celebrate — both online and in person — through creative catchups and team activities that remind us why we love what we do.
Looking Ahead
After two decades of creativity, innovation, and collaboration, we’re as passionate as ever about using design for good. Blick will continue to lead the way in accessibility, diversity, inclusion, and co-design, creating work that truly makes a difference for the end user and for society. Here’s to the next 20 years — and to all the people and partners who made this journey possible.
