Voices Together – WCAG AAA accessible website

Blick is excited to unveil the new Voices Together website — a custom-built, AAA-accessible platform designed to strengthen the self-advocacy movement across Australia. In close collaboration with members, including individuals with disability and brain injuries, the website was co-designed and user-tested to ensure it’s accessible, intuitive, and empowering for all users.
Meeting the highest WCAG accessibility standards, the site is tailored for people with diverse needs. Features include built-in videos, simplified navigation, “Go back” buttons with clear iconography, and an interactive map to help users find self-advocacy groups across the country. The clean, structured layout enhances the user experience, making it easy to navigate.
While the interface is straightforward, the backend is highly sophisticated, especially the resource section, which houses a large, varied library of tools and information.
A smart colour-coded system, where each section has a distinct colour theme, helps users visually orient themselves. These design choices ensure accessibility, consistency, and clarity throughout the site.
